Ready for Halloween? Join us at Kendall Library Thursday October 29 at 4 pm for our Halloween Party. For children 4 and up, we will have games, a craft, stories and food! Any children who wears a costume can be part of our costume contest and win a prize.

Preschool Learning Storytime

Programs for children are very important at Kendall Library. One of my favorites is my Preschool Learning Storytime on Tuesdays at 10:30am. This past two months we have talked about shapes, sorting and patterns, all pre-math skills. For the storytimes I have used the What's the Big Idea? materials. For more information about that program, go to http://www.mothergooseprograms.org/ .

International Quilt Festival

Friday my mother and I attended the International Quilt Festival at the George R. Brown Convention Center. I don't make quilts but I do like looking at them. And we saw such beautiful works of art. All were made with fabric but most were not your classic patchwork quilts. Do try to attend some time- it is worth it. And go to their website www.quilts.com - maybe they will have pictures up for some of the winning quilts.
