Using Drama and Storytelling for God

Thank you for viewing my blog. Most of the information has been about storytelling, both mine and other opportunities to see it being done, and about children's books.
But I also wanted to mention my passion for Drama and Storytelling for God. I love telling Biblical stories and especially presenting Biblical and Christian women through drama. The picture shows me as Mary Magdalene, a program I have done at my Life Group at Champion Forest Baptist Church and a couple of other places. I love to bring these women to life and let them share their love for God through drama with an audience. If you know of a ladies group or church who would be interested, please let me know. Thanks.

Feedback from my storytelling program at Central Library inConroe

This summer, I had such a lovely time performing a program of stories and songs at the Central Library in Conroe. Alicia and Laura were so nice and I felt very welcome.
They did give me some feedback on my performance that is quoted below:

We are so happy we invited Leona Hoegsberg and her “Stories from the Bookworm” to be a part of our 2016 Summer Reading Program!  Her unique storytelling and interactive songs had the kids tied up in laughter and fun!”

Storytelling at the Children's Museum of Houston

Would you like to see me onstage with a group of kids? Take a look at this video, filmed at the Children's Museum of Houston in 2013, I think. Telling the beginning of the story, The Runaway Wok by Compestine, you can see a little glimpse into one of my programs.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hc0Lkphyuxw

Promo for Summer Storytelling

Summer’s coming and once again the libraries are a great place for kids to read and grow. Storyteller Leona Hoegsberg would love to help you encourage kids to read and love books with her special storytelling. Her programs are full of fun folktales, fairytales and mythology that will spark imaginations, get the kids participating and make the stories live. Leona is available to large and small programs. To book a program or get more information, write her at leonahstoryteller@sbcglobal.net or go to her blog Storiesfromthebookworm.blogspot.com.  Keep the stories going!

Storytelling at Morton Ranch Elementary School

I was able to tell stories at Morton Ranch Elementary School in Katy last week.
I had a great time being part of their literacy night. Everyone was so nice and I loved sharing my stories with the kids and their parents.
Jennie McClendon tweeted about me- "Amazing storytelling by for our little friends! So grateful for her!"
